Last week our Head of Advocacy, Charles Bott KC<\/a>, had the honour of representing MKS at the Vice-Chancellor\u2019s Dinner at the University of Central Lancashire<\/a> (UCLan) in north-west England.<\/p>\n

UCLan is home to the prestigious School of Justice, one of the few centres of academia in the UK offering policing and financial investigation training and postgraduate qualifications, and where Martin Kenney<\/a> is a Visiting Professor.<\/p>\n

MKS also sponsors an annual award at the School of Justice, for outstanding contribution to the study of financial investigation: our forensic accountant, Harley Thomas<\/a>, is an alumni of the School and our Head of Investigations, Tony McClements<\/a>, has also lectured on its MSc courses.<\/p>\n

Speaking about last week’s dinner, Charles said:<\/h4>\n

\u201cLast night I had the pleasure of representing MKS as a guest at the University of Central Lancashire\u2019s Vice Chancellor\u2019s dinner in Preston.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a wonderful evening \u2013 full of warmth and friendship \u2014 and it was inspiring to hear of the achievements of UCLan staff and students in the last year. I very much enjoyed talking to Clive Tattum \u2014 the Dean of the School of Law and Policing. His team are doing great work and are a credit to the university.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe bond between the University and MKS that was forged through the Martin Kenney Financial Investigation Award is clearly flourishing and growing stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe MSc Financial Investigation course \u2014 headed by lecturer Janet McClements \u2014 is producing students of the highest calibre. Two have already been given positions by MKS and are now living and working in the British Virgin Islands. It is very good to see talented young people being rewarded for their hard work and application.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
